Video Network Engineer
DESCRIPTION :
A Video Network Engineer Sr. Technician to deploy networked video solutions and
Must have worked in large facilities (airports, factories, wholesale, retail buildings)
Ability to document sites as well as rack and equipment layouts.
Able to interpret design documents.
Familiar with analog cameras, mounts, lenses, amplifiers, CDUs, video test and setup equipment, PC-based servers
Should be able to implement simple configurations with Cisco switches and routers
Education and Experience :
Bachelors degree with 8 years of related experience OR equivalent experience and training.
Key Skills and Qualifications :
Articulate
Experience with the federal government is a plus.
Candidate must have a good customer-oriented personality
Familiarity with MS Word and Visio are a must.
Required Education / Engineering Background :
Must have 3 years or more experience installing and maintaining video surveillance camera equipment (analog and or digital).
Must have 3 years experience with installing digital storage systems setup for video surveillance systems.
Should have 2 or more years experience with the Microsoft environment Servers, desktops, Windows).
Must have 2 or more years experience with TCP/IP and basic Cisco switch/router knowledge. (A CCNA would be a plus)
Must have at least two years experience with premises cabling. RCDD a plus but not a requirement.
The above experience may be in parallel.
Approximately 30% domestic travel will be required.
US citizenship is required. Candidate must be clearable to Top Secret.
