Software Engineer

DESCRIPTION :
The software support engineer will be responsible for all technical aspects of a typical software support lifecycle; understanding of detailed design, basic coding skills, software documentation review, troubleshooting, capture of user feedback, coordination of problem analysis, resolution and documentation using standard office productivity tools and trouble ticketing/warranty support software. The engineer is expected to follow CMMI level III practices using the Personal Software Process (PSP) methodology. Supported systems will be centered on .Net 3.0 based solutions in support of one of the following areas; Web services, web applications, distributed streaming video management, sensor data processing and geographic information system (GIS) based solutions. The overall development support effort is geared toward building a situational awareness system that manages radar data, ground sensor data and video surveillance data.

Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related experience OR equivalent experience and training.

Desired Skills :
•C# programming language (basic skill set)
•.Net 3.0 framework (basic skill set)
•GIS / mapping development (ESRI, Intergraph, Microsoft Virtual Earth, etc)
•XML / XSLT
•Network protocols and sockets (UDP, HTTP, etc)
•Holistic systems troubleshooting and documentation skills for hardware, network, operating systems and supported applications.

MUST BE a United States citizen.
MUST BE clearable to Law Enforcement (CBP) Top Secret.
