Security Analyst
DESCRIPTION :
The incumbent personnel will operate the on Government site SBInet P28 Network and Security Operations Center in or near Tucson. Personnel will perform remote monitoring and management of: Windows OS, Solaris OS, IP networks with SNMP and XML traffic, various switches, firewalls, and EMC SAN storage devices. Personnel will primarily ‘monitor’ for events (NOC to include device and network events; with SOC to include all security events) and follow established issue/alert notification procedures to include limited troubleshooting. Personnel will likely start early to mid May to attend familiarization training and support final escalation and workflow procedure documentation.
Personnel must be experienced with network or security incident management practices, ticket logging, Windows OS, and Solaris OS environments. Familiarity with McAfee Foundstone and related security applications/tools (for SOC positions) is strongly desired. Additional desired skills are experience with SQL database software and Symantec AV Management
